Navalny filed a complaint with the Investigative Committee about poisoning in a special detention center

Politician Alexei Navalny filed a statement with the Investigative Committee about poisoning in a special detention center. Lawyer Vadim Kobzev reports this.

Earlier on July 28, Navalny was taken from the special detention center, where he was serving 30 days of arrest, to Moscow Clinical Hospital No. 64. The politician was hospitalized there with severe swelling of the face and redness of the skin.

Navalny’s doctor, ophthalmologist Anastasia Vasilyeva, having examined the patient, came to the conclusion that the cause of his illness was “the result of the damaging effects of unidentified chemicals.” In turn, local doctors diagnosed Navalny with an allergic reaction known as “urticaria.”

Later, doctors at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine did not find toxic substances in the oppositionist’s body, and at the hospital they suggested that Navalny might be allergic to washing powder.

The oppositionist himself ruled out that he could have been poisoned by the police from the special detention center where he is serving an administrative arrest, since they were “shocked” by the appearance of the politician more than himself.
