The Russian Football Premier League (RPL) refused to transfer the Saturday of Spartak and Dynamo at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which wanted to throw all their forces at the opposition rally in Moscow, says RBC with reference to sources in the league and power structures. As TASS confirmed by a source in law enforcement, in fact, the police cannot prohibit the match. According to the law, the security within the stadium bowl is provided by stewards and football clubs themselves, the task of the police is to ensure security only in the territory adjacent to the stadium.

“During the negotiations, the parties remained with their opinions so far, but bilateral contacts will continue,” the agency’s interlocutor said the night before, noting that “There is still time.”

It is noted that the practice of such appeals from the department in the RPL exists due to the desire to "be safe" in the event of a real exacerbation of the situation.

According to the RPL regulations, it is not allowed to transfer the date and time of the match for less than ten calendar days before the set date. The exception is force majeure.
