
The persecution of Soviet power to the Russian Church was such that it was not to say about their faith, but even silently follow it as a feat. The new martyrs and confessors, glorified in the face of the saints did not come: believed, prayed and meekly went to their Calvarys.
“Polit.ru” recalls those who gave their lives for faith and by whose prayers the Russian Church is alive - even if almost nothing came to us besides the name.

Semen Krechkov - the son of a psalmist, received an education at the Perervinsky Theological School, and then at the Moscow Theological Seminary, which he graduated in 1900, 24 years old. At first he worked as a teacher, and in 1903 he was ordained a rank of deacon to the temple of the Vladimir Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Bykovo, where he served before his arrest in 1937.

On November 15, 1937, the Troika of the NKVD sentenced the priests of John Caesarea, Peter Kosminkov and the deacon of Simeon Krechkov to the execution. They were shot on November 16, 1937 and buried in an unknown common grave at the Butovo training ground.
