The highest check for a smartphone in the Siberian Federal District is ready to pay Novosibirsk - this is 16,533 rubles, follows from MTS data. The cheapest smartphones were bought in the Altai Republic - the average price is 11137 rubles. Buyers from Moscow chose models on average for 19,684 rubles, residents of St. Petersburg for 17,644 rubles.
“In general, the Novosibirsk people demonstrate a growing interest in gadgets of the middle price category. According to the results of the first half of the year, gadgets worth from 10 to 20 thousand rubles were most actively sold, the demand for which increased by 8%per year. The growth of the middle segment was influenced by the increased competition between Samsung and Chinese brands Huawei, Honor and Xiaomi. The most popular models among residents of the Novosibirsk region were Honor 7a, Honor 8x and Samsung Galaxy J2 Core, the MTS report said. - Buyers made a choice in favor of such devices, because their technical characteristics are not inferior to the flagship models of leading manufacturers. A large display is convenient for viewing photo and video content, using instant messengers, browsers and performing other tasks for which a modern smartphone is used. ”
Every second Novosibirsk chooses a large gadget-it is more convenient and easier to consume Internet content and use modern digital services.
Another trend of the retail market is a decrease in smartphone sales growth from 30 thousand rubles. In the first half of 2019, sales of such gadgets increased by 8%, while a year earlier the increase amounted to almost 50%. According to MTS analysts, this is due to the fact that users of such devices extend the deadline for using a gadget up to one and a half to two years. At the same time, they do not seek to change it to new models: they do not give a fundamental increase in comfort when using a standard set of services and applications.
