Anarchist Ilya Romanov, who is serving a sentence in correctional colony No. 17 of Mordovia, has been in a punishment cell since May 8. This was told to OVD-Info by Romanov's ex-wife Larisa Romanova.

According to Romanova, since May 8, the anarchist has been regularly placed in a punishment cell, with short breaks being returned to a cell-type room (PKT), where Romanov is serving his sentence. The formal reason for the ShIZO is that the anarchist allegedly does not greet the employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service.

• The first case against Romanov was opened in 2013 after an explosion in a public garden in Nizhny Novgorod. Then the man lost his hand. Romanov claimed that a firecracker exploded in his hands. The investigation considered that he was preparing a terrorist attack (Article 205 of the Criminal Code). As a result, Romanov was sentenced to ten years in prison.
