For three years, Dmitrieva, the head of the Karelian branch of the Memorial, is trying to put: first on charges of making children's pornography, and now on charges of violent acts of a sexual nature against the adopted daughter. The first court ended with the justification of the historian, the second is now in Petrozavodsk. On the Day of Memory, New Gazeta publishes an excerpt from the comic book Elena Uzhinova “Echo Sandormokha” - about how Dmitriev began to search for places of mass executions.

- I began my activities in drawing comics with autobiographical or absurd. At some stage, my personal experiences began to cover more than just “I”. After the 2012 presidential elections, it became clear to me that hopes for freedom, the constitution and human rights were staggering (I will not find another word) in the thickness of the state business of state businessmen.

My husband Alexei Kostin died ten days ago. In 2016, we painted small criminal stories in cases that arose according to law enforcement agencies. The ideas were his, the text is joint, my graphics.

When Alexei heard that Yuri Dmitriev was put on a far -fetched charge, he offered to draw a comic about him. I agreed - we can. This is our business now.

Now the cult of the new dragon is being created. It is important that people know that any totalitarianism is criminal. And Dmitriev, although or not at least, proves it, digging skulls with holes in the back of the head. Our book about Yuri Dmitriev is called "Echo of Sandormokha." The first part of her - as Yuri suddenly from the assistant deputy became a researcher of archives and forests, and in 1997, a joint expedition with Irina Fliga and Veniamin Iofa found Sandormokh. In the second part - several biographies of the people killed there and the story of the killer, how they did it. And the third part is about today's events, so far with an open finale.
