The Golovinsky court extended the arrest of mathematician Azat Miftakhov, accused of hooliganism, for another month. His lawyer Svetlana Sidorkina reported this to OVD-Info.
The court referred to the need to conduct chemical examinations of the items seized during the search. At the same time, according to Sidorkina, this reason has been voiced for the third time.
The MSU graduate student will remain under arrest until September 7.
- Azat Miftakhov is a graduate student at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Moscow State University, an anarchist who was arrested on charges of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). The case was opened due to the events on the night of January 31, 2018, when unknown persons broke a window in the United Russia office in Khovrino and threw a smoke bomb inside.
- Miftakhov was detained on February 1, and later he told his lawyer about torture with a screwdriver. For the next 11 days, his detention was extended under various pretexts.
