Former President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev was detained during a repeated assault on his house in the village of Koi-Tash. According to Akipress , he was taken to Bishkek on a detour, as the road from Koi-Tash was blocked by Atambaev's supporters.
According to the Ministry of Health of the country, five victims were admitted to the Bishkek Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics: four law enforcement officers with gunshot wounds and one civilian who was injured by a stun grenade.
They tried to detain Atambaev yesterday, but the assault failed.
He was deprived of the status of the ex-president of the country, along with immunity, by the decision of the parliament on July 9, this made it possible to bring him to criminal responsibility. Earlier, the parliamentary special commission of Kyrgyzstan accused Atambaev of corruption during the modernization of the Bishkek thermal power plant, illegal land transformation, the release of criminal authority Aziz Batukaev on fake medical certificates, usurpation of power and other crimes. The deputies passed this information to the prosecutor's office for verification.
