In Belgorod, approval was denied for a picket of solidarity with Moscow due to a rally in support of security forces

The mayor's office of Belgorod denied Navalny's supporters the right to agree on a solidarity rally with independent candidates for the Moscow City Duma because of planned rallies "in support of law enforcement officers in curbing illegal actions of participants in unauthorized events." Navalny’s Belgorod headquarters filed a picket notice on August 10 demanding “to release political prisoners, stop absurd criminal cases, release candidates and allow them to run in the elections, dismiss Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, chairman of the Moscow City Electoral Committee Valentin Gorbunov, vice-mayor Natalia Sergunina, the leadership of the Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Three sites were proposed in the document, but the mayor's office replied that rallies would be held at all of them at that time "in support of the actions of employees of the law enforcement agencies of Russia in curbing the illegal actions of participants in unauthorized public mass events."

Three sites proposed by the authorities instead of the occupied ones are located far from the city center, so the activists intend to hold solo pickets near the administration building.

Earlier, the coordinators of Navalny's headquarters in Murmansk and Tomsk reported that activists and volunteers were required to sign warnings about the inadmissibility of participating in the action on August 10.
