Over 3.2 billion rubles were allocated for the restoration of the Moscow Conservatory

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation reported that the Moscow Conservatory will receive more than 3.2 billion rubles for the construction and restoration work of its facilities, the completion of which is planned in 2021.

The work plan, which is supposed to be completed in 2021, provides for the reconstruction of the first educational building of the Conservatory and the Rachmaninsky Hall. In particular, a complete restoration of buildings facades will be carried out, and their interiors and stucco decor will also be restored.

"In the new educational space, personal classes will appear in honor of the great musicians: Sergei Taneyev, David Oistrakh, Leonid Kogan. Also, the Moscow Conservatory will receive additional areas where artistic small halls and rehearsal will be placed. In addition, the sound component of the auxiliary premises of the Rachmaninsky hall will improve. Also, for two years, work should be completed in a multifunctional student complex. "As a result of the construction of the hostel, the Moscow Conservatory will receive 476 numbers for 900 people, 69 tutors, a sports unit, which includes a pool and a gym, small and large halls, a medical unit, a dining room, auto and bicycle parking lots," the press service said.

We will remind, earlier it became known that the exchange building on Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg will be restored and adapted for modern use. During the restoration, it is planned to repair the facades of the building, to recreate the coverage of stylobate and fences on its eastern staircase, mount new engineering systems, update the roofing, the drainage system and the rafter over the colonnade. In addition, the project provides for the restoration of lost elements of decor and interiors and doorways laid down a hundred years ago, as well as restoration of light lamps.
