The Central Election Commission finally refused to register Yashin

The Central Election Commission has finally refused to register Ilya Yashin as a candidate for deputy of the Moscow City Duma. Following an inspection by the Central Election Commission experts, 505 signatures out of 4936 were declared invalid. Yashin was 76 signatures short of being registered as a candidate, Vedomosti writes.

The politician is currently serving an administrative arrest. On August 8, the Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow arrested him for 10 days for the July 14 rally near the Moscow City Electoral Commission. Yashin was charged with organizing a rally due to a call on Twitter to come to the rally. On July 29 and 30, the courts also ruled to arrest him for 10 days.
