In St. Petersburg, the protester against Beglov is being tested for extremism

The applicant for the rallies for the resignation of the acting governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, and the candidate for governor of the city, Alexander Golovko, are being checked for extremism. This was reported in the Homeless Shareholder group on the VKontakte social network.

Golovko received a call from a girl who introduced herself as Victoria Tretyak, an investigator from the Investigative Committee of St. Petersburg. Victoria said that the Investigative Committee has a material of verification on the November 5 rally in the Fruit Garden. The check began after a letter from the Committee on Legality, Law and Order and Security of the St. Petersburg Administration to the department about the possible presence of signs of extremist activity in Golovko's actions. The letter was received by Sledkom in December, but Golovko received a call only on August 7th.

A recording of Golovko's conversation with the investigator has been posted on Youtube. During the conversation, Golovko explains to Tretiak that the event on November 5 passed from beginning to end, was not interrupted by either the police or the representatives of the committee who were present at the action, respectively, there can be no talk of any extremism.

“Smolny’s attempt to pretend that extremism was noticed in our country a year ago is out of fright and stupidity. Previously, they simply pressed through the special services and security forces. They called, met, dissuaded from the fight. Already issued approvals for rallies were taken away. Do not give approval for new ones. Together with false developers, they poured dirt on my wife and me in the media. Now they are afraid of a criminal case. Criminal prosecution for extremism is no joke. But they won’t break us!” commented investigator Golovko’s call.
