On August 8, the Ministry of Defense announced an emergency at a training ground in the Arkhangelsk region. Rosatom said that the explosion killed five employees, three more were injured and burns of varying severity. According to the state corporation, the explosion occurred on an offshore platform during a test of a rocket with a radioisotope power source.
