A person involved in the “mass riots” case who ended up in intensive care returned home

Dmitry Vasiliev, one of the defendants in the case of "mass riots", was discharged from the 20th city hospital, where he was in a temporary detention center. This was reported to OVD-Info by his lawyer Tatyana Prilipko.

The defender added that Vasilyev was going to go to the hospital. He was not charged, he is being treated as a suspect in the case.

• On August 11, the Basmanny Court refused to send Vasilyev into custody due to his absence from the meeting. At that moment, Vasiliev was in intensive care. Vasilyev has diabetes, his condition deteriorated sharply when, after a night of interrogation, he was sent to an isolation ward and forbidden to take insulin and a glucometer with him.
• At the moment, in addition to Vasilyev, thirteen more people are listed in the case of “mass riots” (part 2 of article 212 of the Criminal Code), they were charged, twelve were placed in a pre-trial detention center. The case was opened after the action on July 27 in Moscow. The investigation believes that the protesters "paralyzed the traffic on the Garden Ring in Moscow, and also committed other illegal actions."
