Oleg Stepanov, the coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters, was charged with a new protocol under the article on rallies. This was reported on Twitter by Navalny's headquarters in Moscow.
The protocol under part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the rules for holding the action) was drawn up by the district police department for the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district. Now Stepanov is under arrest, and the hearing will be held on August 16 in the Khoroshevsky District Court, after his release. He is accused of calling for participation in rallies in support of independent candidates, which took place from 16 to 19 July on Trubnaya Square.
According to the new protocol, on December 12, 2018, Stepanov was fined 10 thousand rubles under part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation by the participant of the procedure for holding the action). It also refers to the decision of the Khoroshevsky court on August 1 to arrest Stepanov for 15 days under part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses due to participation in a gathering on Trubnaya Square on July 16.
