Vladimir Putin refused to transfer frequency operators to mobile operators for the development of the fifth generation (5G). This is written by Vedomosti with reference to four sources.

For setting 5G, the range of 3.4–3.8 GHz is optimal. It is popular all over the world, since it has a low range necessary for high -speed Internet access. In Russia, these frequencies belong to the Ministry of Defense and Roscosmos.
