In Yemen, a terrorist tried to swear allegiance to the Islamic State group, but he was prevented by a bird that began to scream piercingly. on Twitter A video of this moment was posted by Elizabeth Kendall, an Arabic language specialist at Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge.

The recording shows how the militant (Kendall calls him the leader of the local cell) takes out a piece of paper from his pocket, apparently with the text of the oath. He starts to speak, but is interrupted when he hears the bird's desperate cry. Again he reaches into his pocket for a cheat sheet, starts talking again - but the bird again interferes with him!

Elizabeth Kendall explained that she found the video on the resource of al-Qaeda, another terrorist organization that has considered the Islamic State as its enemy in recent years. She also noted that in September 2017, IS released a video of the terrorist's oath, removing the bad footage from it.

The Islamic State emerged in Iraq in the 2000s. The organization has gone from a small group that practiced terror to a religious proto-state with an army, a financial system and a bureaucracy that controls a large area. After an international coalition led by the United States took up the fight against ISIS, and Russia launched its own operation in Syria, ISIS was ousted from almost all territories that this terrorist organization once controlled.
