The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow fined Lev Ponomarev, a human rights activist, 100,000 rubles for an article in Novaya Gazeta published without an attribution that he heads an organization recognized as a “foreign agent.” This is written on the website of the organization.

The report on the publication of materials without indicating that they were published by an NPO “acting as a foreign agent” (part 2 of article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) for the human rights activist was drawn up by Roskomnadzor. the reason was the article "Russia on the path to totalitarianism", published on June 3.

The For Human Rights website states that the postscript was not made due to a technical error. Novaya Gazeta apologized in writing and provided this letter to the court and the leadership of Roskomnadzor.
