The court did not arrest the coordinator of Navalny's Moscow headquarters for the third time in a row

The Khoroshevsky District Court fined Oleg Stepanov, coordinator of Navalny’s Moscow headquarters, 300 thousand rubles for calling for protests on Trubnaya Square, reports Stepanov himself . Today his second consecutive arrest expired.

Stepanov also said that municipal deputy Sergei Vlasov, who “came to support” the oppositionist, was detained in court. “The bailiffs tore his shirt and took him to the basement to file a report for trying to take out his phone to take a selfie,” Stepanov assured. As the headquarters writes , a report was drawn up against Vlasov for disobeying the bailiffs (Article 17.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences) and was released.

On August 14, a report was drawn up against Stepanov under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the procedure for holding a rally), when he was in a special detention center under his second consecutive arrest. On July 24, Stepanov was arrested for eight days. On the day of his release, August 1, he was detained at the exit from the special detention center and sentenced to another 15 days.

After the start of protests due to the exclusion of independent candidates from elections to the Moscow City Duma, oppositionists began to receive several arrests in a row. This happened with Ivan Zhdanov , Ilya Yashin , Konstantin Yankauskas , Yulia Galyamina and others.
