The case under Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code against Ladanov was opened because two Lithuanian citizens registered with him, who arrived at the Lithuanian-Polish cemetery in Galyashora, where victims of political repressions are buried.
Since 2000, Memorial's employees have been organizing expeditions to the cemetery, where they are engaged in ennobling it. On August 12, it became known that the police opened a case on illegal logging (Article 260 of the Criminal Code) because of the last expedition. There are no suspects or defendants in the case yet.
