The Coordinator of Archnadzor is the threats of physical reprisals

The coordinator of the Archnadzor public movement Andrei Novichkov began to act threats to physical reprisals in connection with the prevention of the demolition of historical buildings in the center of Moscow. Novichkov told about this on his Facebook page.

“Unknown people began to write me threats with physical reprisal. They promise that “all participants in the breakdown of a large project in Moscow will not be allowed to live normally,” writes Novichkov.

The activists of Archnadzor managed to stop the demolition of the complex of buildings of the clothing quarter -warehouse of the Moscow Military District of the late 19th century, which is located on the 62 Garden Street. The demolition did not know immediately, and two large buildings - the “warehouses” of 1910-1915 - were completely destroyed. The “stables” of 1910 were also damaged.

The demolition of the buildings was ordered by the company Cityisen LLC, although it did not have the right to it. The complex of buildings on Sadovnikiyaya Street is located on the territory of several cultural heritage sites, and the construction work in the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage must be obtained, which was not done.

The Archnadzor website also reports other violations. After the appeal of activists, contractors were called to the Moscow City Council, where they were presented with a prescription about the ban on demolition.
