The court received the first criminal cases in connection with the July 27 protest in Moscow

The materials of the criminal cases of Danil Beglets and Kirill Zhukov were received by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow. This was reported by the head of the international human rights group "Agora" Pavel Chikov.

Zhukov and the Runaway are charged under the article on the use of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). The criminal cases of young people on this charge were separated into a separate proceeding. The preliminary investigation on charges of Zhukov and Runaway in violence against police officers ended in record time.

Young people were also previously charged under the article on participation in mass riots (part 2 of article 212 of the Criminal Code). So far, there is no official confirmation that law enforcement officers have dropped this charge from Zhukov and Runaway.

As stated in the card of the criminal case of Kirill Zhukov, a preliminary court hearing was scheduled for the case. It will take place on August 27 at 10:30 am.

UPD 13:30 Preliminary hearings have been scheduled in the case of Yevgeny Kovalenko, who was also charged under an article on the use of violence against a government official. According to investigators, Kovalenko allegedly pushed a policeman who was beating the detainee. Then he threw the urn towards two law enforcers leading another detainee.

The hearing on his case will take place on August 26 at 16:00.

• In the case of participation in "mass riots", which is also called the "Moscow case", 13 people are accused. The court placed all of them in custody, and now they are either in a temporary detention center or in a pre-trial detention center.
• The case was opened after the action on July 27 in Moscow. The investigation believes that the protesters "paralyzed the traffic on the Garden Ring in Moscow, and also committed other illegal actions."
