Casamara refused to debate with Sobol

HSE Vice-Rector and Moscow City Duma candidate Valeria Kasamara refused to hold a debate with the general producer of “Navalny LIVE ” Lyubov Sobol. this Kasamara reported on her telegram channel.

“Debates as a form of political dialogue presuppose equality of participants. Lyubov Sobol and I are obviously in unequal positions, which means political debates between us are impossible,” Casamara wrote. She assured that she is “ready to start a dialogue in a calmer environment, when political passions have subsided.”

According to Casamara, the invitation to debate is “an attempt to increase the politicization of the student body.” “One of our students, Yegor Zhukov, is in prison, the other, Artem Tyurin, is under arrest. The HSE is supporting them, I will continue to fight for Yegor’s release. I kindly ask you not to aggravate the situation even more,” the vice-rector clarified.
