Fashion designer Isabelle Toledo has died at the age of 59. The cause of her death was breast cancer, according to the Associated Press, citing representatives of the fashion designer.

Isabelle Toledo presented her first collection in 1985. She gained particular fame after she created a dress for Michelle Obama - the former first lady of the United States came to the inauguration ceremony of the 44th US President Barack Obama in 2009.

Isabelle Toledo was worn by actresses Demi Moore, Debi Mazar and Debra Messing, among others.
