The Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov criticized the desire of the Kaliningrad administration to demolish two historical bridges: a three -liter German bridge over the tributary of the Gagarinsky stream built at the beginning of the 20th century, and a two -tier bridge over the regulation river.
Varlamov in defense of the German bridge leads the words of local historians who believe that during the construction of the crossing, a "variety of engineering solutions" was used. According to experts, there is no analogue of the bridge in the Kaliningrad region and, possibly, throughout Russia.
The blogger said that the authorities want to demolish the two -tier bridge for the creation of two new ones: railway and road. Elements of a crossing built in the 20s of the last century are objects of cultural heritage.
"To preserve the bridge, the activists appealed to the feat of Soviet soldiers that were storming it, reviews on the Internet, photographs on Instagram and offered to give him the status of a federal monument of cultural significance. But, it seems, the matter is still demolished," Barlamov writes on his blog .
In June 2019, the director of the Museum of the World Ocean (MMO) Svetlana Sivkova spoke for the demolition of a bunk bridge. Sivkova said that the old bridge should be made out for the construction of new ones.
