At the end of June, the FSIN demanded that Vasilyeva be returned to the pre-trial detention center. According to the magistrate's decision to schedule a meeting, the proposal to replace the pensioner's restriction of liberty with imprisonment was made by the head of branch No. 5 of the Moscow criminal-executive inspection.

As July told Current Time, in 2015, Vasilyeva was vacationing with her sister in the Kuban and had a fight with the head of the administration of the rural settlement of Novopokrovsky, Andrei Borisovsky, over a large puddle in front of her sister’s house.

The official wrote a statement against the pensioner about insulting a government official (Article 319 of the Criminal Code), and two years later the local magistrate fined her seven thousand rubles. The pensioner went home to Moscow and did not pay the fine, so in March 2018, a Kuban judge replaced her sentence with restriction of freedom.

On July 14, Vasilyeva was removed from the train heading to the Krasnodar Territory, and the Basmanny District Court, at the request of the Federal Penitentiary Service, decided to send her to a pre-trial detention center for 30 days as an interim measure, since the department was going to issue a motion to deprive the pensioner of her liberty.

After a wide public outcry, on July 24, the Moscow City Court overturned the decision of the Basmanny Court and released Vasilyeva from custody.
