In Chuvashia, an administrative case was opened against a member of Open Russia for reposting a photo

Against a member of the regional council of Open Russia in Chuvashia, Mikhail Shcheglov, an administrative case was opened on the distribution of extremist symbols (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by MBKh Media with reference to the lawyer of the "Pravozashchita Otkrytki" Yuri Sidorov.

The reason for initiating the case was the repost of a historical photo on VKontakte. The photo shows a protest action against the opening of the first McDonalds restaurant in St. Petersburg. The prosecutor's office of Cheboksary came to the conclusion that the repost of this photo is a public display of Nazi symbols.
