The author of this story obviously read the Dossier of the Golden Rain them. Christopher Steele - and decided to come up with something equally disgusting and attractively implausible.

As I said, the story about the failed docking itself is not worth a damn. As they did not dock, so they docked.

Another thing is Rogozin's reaction. For one, Rogozin should have been immediately dismissed from his post. But, of course, Rogozin will not be fired anywhere, because before us is one of the main design features of the current government. Putin never fires people for the most heinous mistakes -

and this complete professional impunity leads to the degradation of the Russian system of governance no less than total corruption.

The era of impunity began at least with the Kursk, which could have been a reason to purge the Augean stable that the fleet command had become. Instead, only Dorenko and Berezovsky were administrative victims of the Kursk.

In Russia there is not a single general, not a single official, not a single security official who does not know: he can make any mistake. As a result of his actions, "Kursk", "Nord-Ost", Nenoks, Chernobyl can happen. You can shoot down a Russian plane with a Russian missile. You can drill a hole in the Soyuz, you can blow up a rocket at the start, you can ineptly concoct an assigned political case, present Yukos with ungreening wells in the Arctic - and never any of these actions will lead to dismissal, penalty or even downgrading.
