Ilya Yashin was detained at the exit from the special detention center

The head of the Krasnoselsky municipal district, an unregistered candidate for the Moscow City Duma, Ilya Yashin, was detained at the exit from special detention center No. 2 in Mnevniki. Alla Frolova, a member of OVD-Info, reports this.

The police bus arrived at the detention center in advance.

UPD 14:42 According to Alla Frolova, Yashin was brought to the Tver police department, but he is still sitting in the car.

UPD 16:35 The trial in Yashin's new case will take place on August 29 at 10:00 in the Tverskoy District Court.

UPD 16:40 Yashin was charged with organizing an uncoordinated event (part 2 of article 20.2). Allegedly for the call to participate in the action on July 27.

• Earlier, Yashin was twice detained at the exit from the detention center, after which he was sentenced to another day of administrative arrest.
• The Moscow Metro has filed a lawsuit against Yashin and other opposition politicians who support protests over the exclusion of independent candidates from the elections to the Moscow City Duma.
• Many independent candidates in the elections to the Moscow City Duma were denied registration. Electoral commissions invalidated more than 10 percent of signatures collected by candidates from residents of districts, which is below the acceptable level of marriage. Members of the commissions refused to accept claims from several hundred people that their signatures were genuine.
