A criminal case was opened against the unregistered candidate for the Moscow City Duma, Ivan Zhdanov, under the article on failure to comply with a court decision (Part 2 of Article 315 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by lawyer Vladimir Voronin.
According to the lawyer, the case was opened due to the fact that “allegedly, as the head of FBK, he [Zhdanov - OVD-Info ] does not comply with the court decision and does not remove the film ‘He’s Not Dimon’ from the Internet.” Under this article, Zhdanov could face up to 2 years in prison.
The first person accused in this case was Roman Rubanov, the former director of FBK. Then Rubanov was put on the wanted list. He told Meduza that at the end of December 2018 he went abroad on vacation. Around the same time, his name appeared in the criminal investigation database. After this, Rubanov decided that he would not return to Russia in the near future. According to the ex-director of FBK, he was specifically put on the wanted list to force him to stay abroad.
In addition, as part of the same criminal case, security forces have already interrogated more than 15 FBK employees.
FBK reported that it complied with this instruction. However, the founder of the Foundation, Alexey Navalny, refused to delete the investigation from his personal YouTube channel.
