In Samara, the coordinator of Alexei Navalny's local headquarters, Yegor Alashayev, was arrested for ten days for holding single pickets in solidarity with the Moscow protests. This was reported by the human rights project “Apology of Protest”.
Alashaev was found guilty of repeated violation of the legislation on rallies (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).
The police considered a series of single pickets a “mass picket.” The protocol stated that “in order to give the appearance of legitimacy to the event, Alasheev advised citizens not to unfurl the posters and line up, which proves that those gathered acted in accordance with the regulations invented by Alasheev.”
throughout Russia On August 10, rallies and single pickets were held as a sign of solidarity with Moscow protests against the exclusion of oppositionists from electing to the City Duma. In Moscow itself that day, about 60 thousand people came to the agreed rally.
