The Accounts Chamber was unable to find the Rosstat mobile application based on iOS and Android, which was to be created under a contract worth 64.6 million rubles. It is reported by "Prime" with reference to the audit documents.

In 2017, Rosstat signed a contract to update the design of its website and create a mobile application. The Accounts Chamber noted that the new version of the website of the statistical service was supposed to be launched from April 30, 2019, but this did not happen.

Rosstat explained that they are conducting a "technical dialogue" with representatives of Google and Apple. The department hopes that the application will appear on Google Play and the App Store by September 30, 2019. Rosstat added that they will switch to a new version of the site in the fall.

In mid-April, Rosstat announced the appearance of its new website, which is available at this link. At the same time, the previous version of the site remained available.
