In Cheboksary, the prosecutor's office is putting pressure on activist Elena Blinova after an action with an imitation of a national ritual. Law enforcement officials say they are interested in the safety of children. Blinova herself reported this to OVD-Info.

On August 20, on the day of the city, Blinova imitated the Chuvash national rite tipshar, the purpose of which was to posthumously shame the enemy in his home. The activist tied a stone with the inscription “Putin” to a rope, and threw the other end of the rope around her neck, after which she jumped into the water. Rescuers pulled her out of the water.

A few days after the protest, the activist received a call from the prosecutor’s office and said that they were “worried about her children.” Also, people who introduced themselves as employees from the child welfare department came to the Blinov family’s home.

• At the end of 2018, the ECHR communicated a complaint in the case in which Blinova is one of the accused. Then the activists were charged with group picketing only on the grounds that, according to the police, they closely and demonstratively observed the single picket of their ally Vyacheslav Rybakov. Blinova was fined 200 thousand rubles in this case.
