In Irkutsk, a member of the Libertarian Party brought an administrative case for a post on Facebook

In Irkutsk, an administrative case was opened on a member of the Libertarian Party Zakhar Sarapulov for a post on Facebook on single pickets on August 10. This was announced to the hotline of the OTD-Info line by the assistant secretary of the Moscow Leading Committee of the Libertarian Party.

Police are charged with Sarapulov repeated violation of the rules of participation in public events (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This part of the article provides for a fine of up to three hundred thousand rubles or an arrest of up to 30 days.

The activist posted on Facebook a call to go on August 10 to the Babra monument to a series of single pickets. The police considered that this action was held without coordination with the authorities and in violation of the law. According to law enforcement officers, “a set of single pickets united by a single plan and a common organization” requires a notification.
