Hurricane Dorian in the Atlantic Ocean has strengthened to Category 5 (maximum) on the Saffir-Simpson scale . According to the Associated Press, wind speeds at its center reach 260 kilometers per hour.
The hurricane is expected to reach the Bahamas within a few hours and the coast of Florida by the evening of September 2.
