Osipova withdrew from the municipal elections in St. Petersburg

An employee of the St. Petersburg headquarters Alexei Navalny Anastasia Osipova, registered by a candidate for the Yekaterinhofsky MO, withdrew her candidacy from the municipal elections. She told about this on Twitter, putting an application for the withdrawal of her candidacy to the post.

“I do not need handouts from United Russia,” Osipova wrote.

Earlier, Osipova complained that for two months the head of the municipality Oleg Smakotin was writing to her and tries to come to her home. In correspondence, as the girl said, Smakotin allegedly hinted that she managed to register with his help. Osipova later wrote an application for Smakotin.

Osipova is the only opposition candidates who managed to register for the elections at the Yekaterinhofsky MOSUTION without litigation. The rest of the candidates defended the right to register in court.

Smakotin, included in United Russia, previously entered into open conflicts with the opposition. In particular, in April, Smakotin called the opposition activist Pidor, and in June attacked the activist Fyodor Gorozhanko.
