Prices for flights can increase in Russia

The cost of air tickets according to the results of 2019 will increase by about 10 % compared to last year. This was reported by Izvestia with reference to the deputy executive director of the Association of Air Transport operators Boris Shokurov.

One of the reasons for the increase in value is the rise in price of airway. According to Shokurov, since the beginning of 2019, the fuel cost has increased by 1.5–2 %, and in 2018 the increase exceeded the threshold of 30 %.

“Airlines are profitable in the second and third quarters, and the first and fourth are always unprofitable. However, this year, positive financial results are not expected, ”said Shokurov.
