In St. Petersburg, the commission on juvenile affairs fined Leonid Shaydurov, leader of the trade union "Student" because of the organization of a solitary picket. This was reported on the page of the trade union in VKontakte.
Shaydurov was fined 10 thousand rubles under the article on violation of the rules for holding a public event (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
According to the trade union, when considering the case, the commission refused to attach to the case materials the characterization proposed by the defense.
- There are about 170 members in the schoolchildren's trade union "Student", whose leader is Leonid Shaydurov. Schoolchildren seek at least a reduction in the number of independent work and control over the appearance of students. The "Maximum Plan" of the trade union includes "a change in the education system, but so far only in St. Petersburg, and access to the interregional level." The organization accepts students from the eighth grade, because by law, you can join trade unions from the age of 14.
- Shaidurov has previously faced pressure both from the leadership of the educational institution and from the security forces. In December 2018, the director of gymnasium No. 622 threatened the young man with expulsion, the prosecutor’s office and a “psychiatric hospital” due to the creation of a trade union, and on June 17, 2019, the police detained Shaydurov in connection with a one-man picket. On July 27, the young man spoke about threats with a criminal case.
