Dmitriev said that unidentified persons threw Molotov cocktails into the car on the night of September 4. The man believes that in this way the electoral competitors are trying to put pressure on him.
Previously, unknown persons attacked the volunteers of Dmitriev's headquarters, confiscated campaign materials from them and threatened them. “After a series of attacks, I was forced to hire security guards for my agitators. And then there were attempts, but the presence of the guards stopped the attackers,” Dmitriev explained.
After that, the candidate for deputies was accused of illegally hiring bodyguards for the election campaign. Zheldorokhrana showed the court documents stating that everything was legal - their services were paid from my campaign fund, as a result, on Monday, September 2, the court sided with us, ”said the candidate.
In addition, on August 31, relatives of another opposition candidate for the Irkutsk Duma, Gulnara Garifulina, were attacked by unknown persons with a pistol. Garifulina's campaign flyers were threatened with death.
She believes that the attackers are associated with the United Russia party, which is the mayor of Irkutsk Dmitry Berdnikov. On top of her leaflets, the attackers pasted campaign materials of another candidate - Lyudmila Tuchkova, who was nominated for the elections to the city's Duma from United Russia.
