Activist and candidate for municipal deputies in the Smolninskoye district Yaroslav Kostrov was arrested for five days under the article of petty hooliganism (20.1 of the Administrative Code) for swearing in a public place. Krasimir Vranski, a member of the Observers of St. Petersburg organization, reported this to Mediazona.
The protocol was drawn up due to a conflict between Kostrov and posters who posted their leaflets on the restored doors of residential buildings. The candidate reprimanded them for this, using obscenities. MBH Media clarifies that this happened on September 4. Kostrov was detained on the afternoon of September 6.
