The Memorial Human Rights Center recognized as political prisoners the defendants in the Network case, Viktor Filinkov and Yuliy Boyarshinov, who are accused of terrorist activities. This is reported on the organization's website.
According to the intelligence services, anti-fascists Filinkov and Boyarshinov are members of the terrorist organization “Network”, which has cells in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Penza and Belarus. They were charged with “participation in a terrorist community” (Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Yuli Boyarshinov is also accused of “illegal possession of explosives” (Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
