The winners of the gubernatorial elections were determined in the first round

In the last gubernatorial elections, all the winners were determined in the first round. The results of the vote count showed that all acting and current regional leaders won.

The heads of the regions were elected by residents of the Republic of Altai, Bashkiria, Kalmykia, Transbaikalia, Stavropol, Astrakhan, Vologda, Volgograd, Kurgan, Kursk, Lipetsk, Murmansk, Orenburg, Sakhalin, Chelyabinsk regions, as well as St. Petersburg.

Closing the voting day, Ella Pamfilova, chairwoman of the CEC , said that according to preliminary data, there was not a single polling station where the elections would be declared invalid: “This indicates that no serious violations have yet been recorded that would cast doubt on the will of voters” .
