President with a human face

Putin does not know this yet, but Zelensky has already outplayed him, the publicist Andrei Kolesnikov states it, summing up the results of the exchange of Russian and Ukrainian prisoners

Actually, for this, for the human face, Vladimir Zelensky chose a nation from which at least democratic reflexes and the right to elect and be elected were not taken away.

The current Russian authorities never held the nearest Western neighbor for an independent state, at best considered him a buffer (hence the ambiguous formula of Putin - “we are one people”), but now it does not know what to do with Ukraine Zelensky.

Barter meat

Putin met the exchange day, opening with all his retinue, including the mayor of Sergei Sobyanin, for the sake of which they even discharged the “challenge” from Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nazarbayev, the Kazakhstan pavilion at VDNH. Then he went to observe the achievements of the gymnasts of the school of Ms. Viner-Usmanova. These events, admittedly, were clearly inferior in importance to the exchange of citizens of Russia and Ukraine in about the same way as visiting the head of the Russian state of Mongolia in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Khalkhin-Gol inferior to the 15th anniversary of Beslan, which Putin did not notice a demonstratively invitingly.

Those whom Putin agreed for the Russian state - not living people, but exchange currency, barter meat. Only one person was interesting - Vyshinsky, and he was more worried about the telekillers Kiselev and Skabeev, who were waiting for an employee of RIA Novosti, as mom and dad meet the matured son from the courses of a foreign language abroad.

For Zelensky, those who arrived at Boryspil Airport were living people and fellow citizens.

He did what they usually do not do with “experience”: he preferred living people to Himer, for which the bloody wars begin and continue - “national (state) interests”. You need the cables - get your ghoul, if it is the price of exchange. All this is human, very human.

A living face, a man trying to hide tears when Oleg Sentsov hugged his daughter. Not making PR from these tears. And the familiar mask, which at that time told other masks how Moscow was prettier and got rich with its mayor and the city Duma. And is it possible to test at the sight of Kiselev and Vyshinsky who meet each other?

The authorities, which “does not change the soldier at Field Marshals” (the phrase attributed to Stalin is the refusal to exchange the prisoners of Jacob Dzhugashvili for Field Marshal Paulus), the power that “does not go to negotiations with the terrorists”, which is why people are dying, the logic of Vladimir Zelensky is unlikely to be able to understand. But use it - please. Especially if it manifests itself, as the press service of the Kremlin “Initiative of the Ukrainian (French, American, any other) side” likes to write. Zelensky also made a call to Putin after the exchange: it is not a royal thing - to raise the first phone. The Kremlin a priori cannot have any initiatives: the whole world should go to bow to the king of the mountain, and even calls are carried out on the initiative of an exclusively foreign side.

Lack of unnecessary experience

This says one thing: with all due respect to the efforts of Emmanuel Macron, if not for Zelensky, there would have been no exchange. The “Russian side” cannot, does not want, will never offer anything to anyone.

In the humanism, Zelensky was supported by the very “lack of experience” in which he was accused of all possible opponents, including Petro Poroshenko. And this is true. The lack of experience of idiotic ideologized political decisions in the name of “interests of the state”, “security”, “sovereignty”. Lack of experience of sophisticated undercover operations, payments to titles, stuffing, carousels, use of an administrative resource. The lack of experience of behind-the-scenes intrigues and “secret protocols”, the experience of total corruption and in general all that “adults-in-rooms” do.

Vote (in some countries) for new faces. But these persons do not necessarily turn out to be the owners of Trump's physiognomy. They may not have an erysipelas, not a mask, on physiognomy, but a face, a human face. And he does not necessarily become stone when it comes to “national interests”, which in fact turn out to be the personal interests of a small group of masked people, until the white fingers clung to the scepter and power.

An awkward, wooden in tone, dialogue in Vladivostok, the President of the Russian Federation and Viktor Medvedchuk, with pride, like Elbasy, carrying the high rank of “Kuma Putin”, was called upon to raise the rates of Ukrainian politician. But Medvedchuk completely lost to Zelensky, all his negotiation maneuvers did not cost the usual human empathy of the Ukrainian president. And recently, the emergence of politicians - from Le Pen to Medvedchuk or the Safe Governor - does not raise their ratings together with Putin.

Putin did not understand this yet, but Zelensky, without setting such a goal at all, outplayed him. How a human face replays a political indelible mask.

There are no particular doubts that he will soon outplay him in the economy: Zelensky does not have oil, national projects, public-private partnerships, and there are liberal principles. Putin solemnly buried them, thanks to which the Russian economy, as in a joke about the Ukrainian ensign (excuse me) in the Soviet Army, is doomed to "fly nasenko-nyzenko."

Putin’s “one people” have long set out from him, lives his life with his president. Which does not care whether his citizens will survive or not. And the other part of the “one people” still remains with Kiselev and Skabeeva, tiles, Rosgardia and Elbasy as a guest.
