Mitrokhin was ordered to pay 400 thousand rubles to the family of the vice-rector of MGIMO because of articles about “raider takeovers”

The Khamovniki Court of Moscow has recovered 400,000 rubles from Moscow City Duma deputy from Yabloko Sergei Mitrokhin at the suit of the family of MGIMO Vice-Rector Natalya Kuzmina, reports . MBKh Media

Vitaly Ruvinsky, editor-in-chief of the Ekho Moskvy website, was the second respondent. The court ordered him to remove five of Mitrokhin's texts and publish a refutation.

The applicants' claims were triggered by about a dozen of Mitrokhin's blog articles on the radio station's website and his Facebook posts. The total amount of claims in the suit exceeded 2 million rubles.

In one of the texts, Mitrokhin wrote that Andrei Kuzmin, “a member of a well-known raider family” who was involved in the illegal demolition of buildings in Moscow, became the director of bakery No. 6.

At the trial, the deputy expressed his readiness to remove this publication. The radio station said that Mitrokhin's materials were not edited and Echo was not responsible for the politician's texts.

Kuzmina filed a second lawsuit against Novaya Gazeta journalist Ilya Azar because of the material on the Mokh website, as well as against the Arsenyevskiye Vesti publication and journalists Ksenia Luchenko and Alexandra Parushina.

The vice-rector's family wants to recover one million rubles from them and demand that the publications be refuted and removed. Consideration of the complaint in the Khamovniki Court is scheduled for October 3.
