In Tomsk, the court arrested members of the “Left Resistance” for 10 days for single pickets

The Kirovsky District Court of Tomsk sentenced Darya Polyudova, a member of the Left Resistance, to 10 days of arrest for a single picket against the elections. Polyudova herself reported this.

The activist was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules of the action (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). Polyudova was refused to postpone the hearing to find a lawyer.

She, along with Kirill Kotov and Igor Kuznetsov, was left in the department until the trial on September 8. The police knocked Polyudova to the ground and took her phone away. At the department she was not allowed to go to the toilet or smoke. Kuznetsov and Kotov also reported rough detention. They drew up protocols under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for organizing a mass event) and Part 8 of the same article, respectively. On September 9, the court did not accept the activists’ cases for consideration.

Kirill Kotov was detained and was also arrested for 10 days. Together with Polyudova they went on a hunger strike.
