Murmansk: The priest was taken to the atomic submarine and read prayers

The abbot of the Nikolsky church in Zaozersk Alexander Zaitsev went to sea along with the crew of the nuclear submarine cruiser "Eagle", according to September 10 on the website of the North Sea diocese.

The Archpriest before swimming conducted a prayer service "before the start of any good deed." A hiking iconostasis was launched on a submarine, and morning prayers and reading of the gospel were included in the daily routine.

"Daily on the speakerphone, the crew was informed about the holiness patrons of the army of Russian or the explanation of the gospel passage read on this day," the diocese said in a statement.

The cruiser’s fighting posts consecrated, the crew gave a lecture about the family in the life of the warrior on the example of saints Peter and Fevronia.

The submarine went to sea from August 29 to September 7.

In August 2019, officials of the Altai Territory asked the priest to fly on a helicopter with burning forests, using icons and prayers. Nizhny Novgorod bailiffs took the Orthodox clergyman to the raid for debtors.
