CNBC: All Five Burevestnik Missile Tests Fail

Russia has tested the Burevestnik cruise missile at least five times, and all launches have failed, CNBC reports, citing sources familiar with the relevant US intelligence report.

According to US intelligence, the tests have been conducted since 2017. The longest flight lasted more than two minutes, the shortest - four seconds.

CNBC's sources also said Russia intends to speed up work on the project so that the missiles can be in service by 2025.

• The explosion at a test site near Severodvinsk in early August, which killed at least five people, was linked to the testing of the Burevestnik missile. According to CNBC sources, the incident occurred during an attempt to retrieve a missile from the bottom after a previous unsuccessful launch.
