-Once, even during the life of Yegor, the director of Defense, Sergei Popkov, had a conversation with an official from the Omsk administration. He said: “Look, we are a group from Omsk, which the whole country is listening. In other cities, such a group would be proud of and would support it in every possible way. ” To which the official replied: "We have a priority - hockey."

By the way, “defense” did not fundamentally perform in Omsk. Yegor remembered well how he was tormented in his youth, how forbidden he was forbidden, how they did not allow him to live calmly. And now, after death, these people suddenly decided that Letov should be taken to their hands, otherwise there are too many stories around him.

There was a strange story with the airport, which did not end anything, fortunately. Despite the popular vote, Letov “from the elections” removed and assigned the airport the name of General Karbyshev.

Now every time I fly there, I imagine how Karbyshev was doused with water in the cold. A terrible image is actually.

His political views changed many times throughout his life. At first, “GO” was an anti-Soviet group, then pro-Soviet, red-brown, during the “Russian breakthrough” and the NBP prohibited now. He has more and more fans, the strangest, very different in their beliefs, in education, in their personal qualities. But no less people who have hair stand on end from his music. They are directly smoking. The music of "defense" is extremely uncomfortable for the listener. And this was done deliberately, such a task was. It is impossible to listen to the "civil defense" in the background. When you are so much involved in, not everyone needs it and not everyone wants it, many are actively against it.
