The court fined a deputy of the People's Khural of Buryatia for participating in a spontaneous public gathering

The Soviet District Court of Ulan-Ude fined Bair Tsyrenov, deputy of the People's Khural of Buryatia, 15,000 rubles for participating in a spontaneous protest. It is reported by Taiga.info.

Initially, Tsyrenov was charged with organizing an event without filing a notice (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), but the court reclassified the charge. The deputy was fined under the article on violation of the procedure for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

Tsyrenov was detained on September 10 during a people's gathering on Soviet Square in Ulan-Ude. Then the security forces broke the windows of the car where Tsyrenov and several other people were. The deputy of the People's Khural was dragged out of the car and roughly detained.

• On September 9, a spontaneous people's gathering began in Ulan-Ude. The reason for the protest is the detention of supporters of the shaman Alexander Gabyshev, who has been walking to Moscow for several months to expel Putin. Later, the deputy of the People's Khural Bair Tsyrenov and the senator from the Irkutsk region Vyacheslav Markhaev, who lost the election of the head of the city, joined the protesters. He stated that he refuses to recognize the results of the vote.
