The Russian Guard arrived at the square at about 2:00 local time. After the smoke bomb hit the bus, people began to run out and suffocate. They grabbed them roughly and laid them on the asphalt. One of the women is pregnant.

KamAZ took the bus away from the square, and a car with the inscriptions of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, in which three men were attacked on September 9, is also being evacuated.

A spontaneous rally began in Ulan-Ude on September 9. About 200 people came to the city square and demanded the release of two detained supporters of the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev. Later they demanded re-election of the mayor, which was won by Igor Shutenkov with a result of 52.5%. The current Irkutsk senator Vyacheslav Markhaev from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation scored 36.6%.

During the dispersal of the action, security forces broke the windows in the car where blogger Dmitry Bairov and deputy of the People's Khural of Buryatia Bair Tsyrenov were sitting with the activists. They were dragged outside, beaten and detained. The court fined Tsyrenov 15 thousand rubles for participating in an unauthorized mass event. Bairov was arrested for five days for violating the procedure for holding a rally.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Buryatia told Takim Dela that traffic police inspectors asked people to leave the bus parked in the area of ​​Soviet Square, as traffic restrictions were temporarily introduced there. “However, citizens ignored legal demands, offered active resistance and used tear gas. In this regard, police officers and the National Guard detained 17 people and took them to the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” the department said. The Ministry of Internal Affairs claims that law enforcement officers did not use special means.
